What would you do if your favorite book hadn't been written?
Or what if you had dreamt all of your life about being a writer but didn't know how to get started?
Writers need the support and encouragement of other writers
That is exactly what Straw Dog offers through programs that teach skills in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. We offer opportunities for writers at Writers Night Out and to hear from a Featured Reader who can lend a helping hand and hopeful ideas to new writers. Workshop leaders benefit from Straw Dog promoting their offerings. Our newsletter and online Bulletin Board bring awareness to the community of our member's accomplishments, services, and events.
