(Dis)Comfort

When Covid-19 arrived,
discomfort emerged, uncertainty and death startling
the light dimming each day

As Covid-19 remained,
discomfort sustained, fear and grief gripping
darkness hangs in the night

As Covid-19 subsides,
discomfort rises to new heights, George Floyd’s murder
#BlackLivesMatter shines revolutionary light
